We're Moving to 89.9 FM

Big news from the Nature Coast: on August 29, 2026, WZRE moves down the dial from 99.3 FM to 89.9 FM.

This isn't just a new number. WZRE is upgrading from a Low Power FM signal to a full-power Noncommercial Educational (NCE) FM license. With planned more power and applied for new transmitter sites along the Gulf Coast, our coverage will eventually stretch from Horseshoe Beach all the way to the Econfina River.

Everything you love stays the same — the same volunteer hosts, the same heritage music, the same neighbors on the air. There's just a lot more of us to go around. Mark your calendar, retune your radio, and tell a friend down the road.

Retune to 89.9 FM

Starting Saturday, August 29, 2026.

New Transmitter Sites Along the Coast

Crews have been busy readying the equipment that will carry 89.9 FM across the Big Bend. The new sites are positioned to reach coastal communities that previously sat at the edge of our signal.
